I hear this from a lot from women who say their trainer / coach
is good, good workouts, motivating, funny.....etc, BUT....
There is one thing missing: being validated.
Being seen.
See, at our age (40+), we've got a lot going on.
It's not just about the calories or the macro's.
It's not even just about the workout, really.
We don't need another food plan or formula thrown at us (as if we are a mathematical equation). We've had that many times in the past.
While they have crafted a nice food plan and exercise plan...the 'strategy' pieces, they're missing out here on the most important element: the client and all that she brings
with her into the gym...her family, her challenges, her life story, her beliefs and conditioning, her self sabotage...those things that keep her up at night!
See, most trainers, coaches and nutritionists do not properly address the ageing female body because they simply don't know how. They don't have the experience or expertise or longevity in the game...they blame it on 'hormones' or 'need more cardio' or 'you just need to cut
calories'.
Ugh! Regurgitated myths, really...
And oh, that former competitor sure looks good, but does she live like a competitor (and train you that way, does she have you eating skinless chicken and broccoli and asparagus? YUCK!)
We are 'real' women and we want to live in the 'real' world (as a former
competitor, I've earned the right to go down this path...I was guilty of it too .... many, many years ago).
As 40+ women, what ALSO affects our body, our weight, our motivation, our metabolism and all things in between is....
- work stress...too much, not enough, or simply not joyful or fulfilled in our work. THIS creates a ton of emotional debris in our head
- teen and child challenges....oh yeah, need I say more?
How about...stress and challenges with..
- ageing parents
- marital stuff
- taking care of everyone else first
- stressed
about our excess weight and not being able to properly get it down...(more brain drain....)
- ageing stuff, like achy joints,
- poor sleep,
- poor digestion
- vitamins, supplements, what am I supposed to take for my age?
And then we come to the Info Junkies...
- soooo much info out there, what am I to believe?
- another diet, KETO...Intermittent fasting, low carb...
- weekend mayhem (when you truly want to throw in the towel because you are tired of the 'starting over' thing
- friends and family members giving you their 'educational nutritional talk'....umm....ok.
- running here and there, trying to get everything done in one day!
Being on your 20th diet in 20 years (or more!)
And then.....Social Media....competition, Influencers with photo shopped bodies,
booty gals that are trying to tell you what works the best, but at 25, it works for THEM but it will not work for YOU!
Info overload!!!
You don't need more information.
Information is NOT transformation.
So...what do you
need?
A coach or mentor who does NOT live this way!
Someone who has lived 'the life' for 30, 40, 50+ years, OUTSIDE of the mainstream garbage....
Someone who does not get blown off track, because her 'normal' is living lean, eating exceptionally well, moving her body in a way that builds health, healthy ageing, robust
metabolism, recovery...day after day. And she does so because she is committed to her health, her vision, How she wants to BE in this Life!
You need someone who knows how to SHIFT the Inner World of self sabotage on herself AND with her multitude of clients, because without this, NO real change will stick, because the FOUNDATION is not there, and it needs to be rooted and crafted from a place of confidence, self love, no fear, worthiness
and vision. She is NOT taken off course!
Your coach or mentor lives where you are at, and she 'gets' you. She truly does. Because she is YOU. She's your age, with your challenges, your dreams, your fears....
She lives on the periphery, not buying into the myths, and owning her own life, her body, her ageing, with confidence and style! And she teaches others how to do the
same...
Is she out there?
You betcha!
I've got a whole community of these Change Agents! And they are ROCKING this ageing thing...
...strong, energized, lean, joyful, awake, purposeful and playful.
And they look and
feel AWESOME!
