MY STORY: I have decided to give Cool Sculpting a try, and I decided to share it all with you, my followers. It took me many years to make the decision, after countless tries at getting rid of my oh-so-stubborn fat
area.
First, I believe in being totally honest. I have been in this fitness game for 40 years, and while I eat and train exceptionally well, and have for decades, sometimes it's not enough. My body has one area that is
resistant to the work.
Second, there is a certain part of my body that just won't cooperate! And for me, it's the muffin top / wings alongside my side waist, and a bit wrapping around the back.
I am super high waisted with a 32" inseam,
and I am only 5'2". (I always wanted to be long waisted, where you could see lovely abs, and a flat tummy). But I have merely 2" between my ribs and my pelvis...no room there! Hence, that area is 'squished up' and shows with a bulge.
The only time this area shows no little 'bulge' under my shirt is if I am down to contest prep size, down another 5-8 pounds and
sitting at 16% bodyfat.
I don't want to live at 16% bodyfat.
It is hard, unrealistic, and I also don't want to diet down that low (which I am capable of doing) because at this age, I will likely lose all the hard-earned muscle I've gained. I'm not willing to do
that. I also personally don't ike the 'stringy' look of older women who simply diet the weight off and whose muscles are not shapely and full.
I like shape. I work hard for it. I don't want to be skinny, I want to keep my shape, and so far, so good at 62. But if I cut calories or try to get that area off, unless I do a pre contest living style (again, not
realistic), it won't budge.
I eat exceptionally well, I train 5-6 days a week and am very active. I watch my calories, manage my macro nutrients, but this area always remains on me.
Some women have the gift of putting on bodyfat evenly
on the body. These are usually our IFBB pros. Easy-peasy.
But for some of us, it's just not the case. It's always been my problem area.
So I decided to share my pics and story as I go through this process with Dr. Maureen Sweeney at
Live Young Medical, in Sidney, BC.
I have had 1 treatment, and I will require 2 for that area. Second treatment in a few weeks. Results show in 8-12 weeks.
I will talk about my experience at 'show' at the gathering, and a specialist
will be on hand to discuss the process and answer all your questions. Dr. Sweeney will be there also.
I have worked with Maureen for 16 years. I do face peels, and skin laser treatments with her, when needed on dark spots on the face, and I've been doing bio identical hormones for a decade with her. I trust her and her team
completely.
She is inviting 10 women to a meet and greet at her office next week, with nibblies and wine to discuss Cool Sculpting (to download the invite, CLICK HERE). If you are interested in Cool Sculpting, if you want more information, to know the process, and you would like to hear (and see) my story and results to date, please RSVP. This is for
interested women only, women who, like me, have stubborn areas that do not respond well to diet or exercise, and who are considering a safe, non-invasive technique. We only have 10 seats.
I am not sharing this info on my public FB pages, only here, on the private page, because there are a lot of naysayers and meannies in the crowd. And this is a personal decision
that I will share with my private followers here, and with my current clientele, and I will be sharing it with my email list who have been following me for years.
I don't want to have to defend or explain myself to the
masses. It's not always friendly out there.
The invite and RSVP is below. If you have any direct questions, put them in the comments below.
And maybe I will see a handful of you at the event. I look forward to sharing my experience at
the event.
CHEERS! (Note, pics above are not of me...my pics will be coming after all results are complete, in another 8 weeks or so. I will share them
here).
