Hey
A few days ago, my hubby and I went to the Vancouver Canucks game in Van. We stayed at a cool boutique hotel called the Opus Hotel.
Hubby and I rarely take the time
to sneak off for a 'date night' 'across the water' (we live on Vancouver Island), but our careworkers helped us out and filled in the empty time for us.
We ate, drank a bit, and enjoyed the game festivities, and the beauty of Yaletown (if you know Yaletown, you know what I mean...what a cool place!!)
And this brings up my point: when
you go on 'holidays', whether it's just an overnight or a week or two, when your metabolism is strong and working, and you've been working it for awhile, you can stray on holidays and your body doesn't care.
It pops right back to where it was because it's been trained to do so.
You got
that?
See, we train our bodies how to react, including our metabolisms, and that's the beauty of living like a 'lifestyle athlete' as I call us, women who train and eat for years with a certain strategy in place, so when you fall away, your body is forviging.
And when you come back on track, it returns to its natural
state.
The weight falls off easily...body snaps back to its normal holding pattern.
I can go away for 2 weeks, loosen up on my food and drink to enjoy the local fare, and my body may add a few pounds (which I don't freak out about), and when I return home, it quickly comes off.
That's the wisdom of the body.
Because it's been trained to 'live' in a certain place at a certain weight, and it re-adjusts itself accordingly.
This also proves that you CAN change your set point (where your body naturally holds
weight).
Because for many women, the set point of weight increases with age, but we can ensure that doesn't happen by creating a solid set point that doesn't rise up with age. This is good news, ladies!
I want all women to be able to enjoy their lives - and holidays - without the guilt or the fear of weight gain (and have that
weight gain stay on).
So Let's chat! Let's get you on track and steady in your body, your weight and your metabolism.
It's all in the strategy that you build
and maintain.
And this makes going on holidays, and life, much more fun!
