This past week, me and my family went to Seattle for a holiday.
And needless to say, my eating kinda went out the window...too many pastries, LOL!
As a fitness gal, I know I'm
supposed to lead the way, but honestly, I don't always stay on track 24/7.
But what I've learned about metabolism is this - if you get your metabolism working based on consistency and a proper macro strategy, you CAN go off track...
... and it will SNAP back to normal.
So when I
returned to Canada, my body did what I call the woosh thingie....it dropped the extra 3 pounds I gained in a matter of days! (I love that part!)
Why? Because it trusts me to get back on track (yes, your metabolism has a memory) because I have created a New Normal, a well functioning metabolism that WANTS to get back to its New Normal.
But unfortunately,
for women who have dieted for awhile, the OPPOSITE happens...the body HOLDS ON to that extra weight, and won't let it go!
And then with every eating indiscretion, the weight contimues to pile up...
But all is not lost. It's all about a strategy built for us 40+ women (yes, it has to be a different strategy).
Metabolism is NOT complicated, but most fitness and weight loss gurus have NO IDEA about how to work it from the inside/out approach, versus using supplements, fat burners, cardio, low carb (the WORST) etc!
