This morning I received an email from a former client i worked with years ago (I love talking to my past clients!)
She brought up my no-BS approach (uh huh...sometimes it gets me in trouble, yes!)
And she admitted she was all about cardio, that has been her go-to for years, and she loves it, but she knows she needs more as an ageing 50+ woman.....
So let me be straight...I'm NOT anti-caridio. BUT...you do need to use it carefully as an ageing woman who wants a strong metabolism, shapely muscle, strong immune system and hormonal balancing moving
forward.
Tomorrow, I am going to unveil it all in a live FB video to go over the ins and outs of cardio, so you can feel at ease if you are loving your cardio.
BUT, I will bring forward sound research AND my 40 years of experience (as a cardio gal-turned weight training, AND being a menopausal woman who has walked the
walk).
Science matters. But experience is just as valid (or even moreso in some instances, because research happens slowly, AND alot of research on women training has been done on triathletes / cardio based athletes, NOT weight training...but the info is coming in...finally!
Let's get real ladies, and have a firm understanding and strategy moving forward for
the next 20-30 years, as we focus on healthy ageing from a fresh, healthy perspective.
No trends. No diets. No wait-and-see. No more failures. No more do-overs.
Life is meant to be LIVED, not endured.
