Us women are very busy.
We manage our family, the household, perhaps ageing parents...
... we work, we own businesses, we shop, cook, and
clean.....
...we take out the garbage, the recycling. We pay the bills, clean the gutters, rake the lawn, clean the windows, look after the doggies, our children, (that's my to-do list...maybe different than yours)...
We put our needs at the bottom of the list, and think 'maybe if I get everyone else back on track, I'll be
good.'
But it's untrue.
How many years have you waited for things to smooth out, so you can then do something for you - work on your health and your body...get to the gym, eat better, lose the extra pounds, take more time to relax and do the things that you love?
How many years? Two? Three? Twenty years?
So when I get a super busy woman on one of my complimentary Body Breakthrough coaching calls, and she says she is busy doing this and than, but wants to now work on her body and health, I ask her, 'how will you make time for this program?'
I am waiting for her to
claim her answer, something like "I must. I will do it. This is for me."
Many say they will, but then I don't hear from them again in months, or sometimes never. And when we reconnect...they're in the same tailspin in their life.
Nothing has changed. Simply because she didn't put the change in action. She either didn't know HOW
to slow and shift, OR there was a conscious (or unconscious) reluctance to do so. And THIS must be brought out to the light of day so real change can move in.
So if you're waiting for the universe to grant you more time in a day...
... or you think your family will suddenly say, 'Oh, we'll pick it up from here...you
go do your thing, we're good! We can manage everything!", you're in wishful thinking.
Claim it and step in. It's the only way.
That's how we all have to do it.
No one has it easier than anyone else. We all have the same 24 hours in a
day.
I am a super busy mom and employer to careworkers who help support my boy. I have 3 doggies, a very busy hubby (HA! I put my doggies ahead of my hubby....!!), a homestead to run, a busy coaching business, an acre of forested land that needs constant maintenance...
.....shopping, bills, family, taking out the
garbage....
And I still train 4-5 times a week and take care of my nutrition every day.
I'm not bragging or being arrogant, it simply is....
I had to learn to shift my thinking and
lifestyle.
I prioritize these things because they're important to me. Just as important as my family and my homelife.
If I didn't practice self care, I would not have the energy to maintain this busy life that I have, and I might slip into depression or overwhelm. And my health, my family, my business...they would all take a serious
hit.
My 40+ clients learn to create differently too, with a changed outlook and fresh lifestyle habits that builds empowerment and self love, WHILE still taking care of their daily life needs.
It's not an either / or.
Life happens to
us all, and we can either be innocent bystanders or active participants in this glorious life we have all been gifted.
It's really just a choice, and how you choose to look at things.
With much love,
