Dear ladies...
I’d like to introduce you to my beautiful son, Tristan.
Our family has had quite the journey, with his diagnosis starting at 5 with a terminal and degenerative condition called Duchenne Muscular
Dystrophy.
Many of you know our story, and how it has impacted our lives. The heartache and struggle with such a debilitating condition is very heavy, and it continues on, getting heavier with every passing year.
There is no remission factor, no cure.
And so time, and the disease, marches on….
At 29 years old, he is at the ‘top end’ of his life expectancy. We are profoundly grateful, but we know that time is closing in…
That is why I am reaching out to my followers to ask if you would support him in his Go Fund Me to purchase a new van for his once-a-year vacation, the very thing he waits for every year (he cannot fly given his condition).
His dear friend, Saige, has started this fundraising effort for him.
As a Health and Wellness coach for 20- years, I have supported women in their health and wellness goals, and many of you reading this have beenfitted in some way (hopeully) from my support, through my posts, stories, videos or even being a client in one of my programs. I always ensured I offered the highest level support I could, in whatever way
you needed. That has always been my goal...to go above and beyond. I do hope I did so for you as best I could.
Now I am asking for you to consider supporting Tristan in this newest fundraising ask. Anything will help. No support is too small.
If you choose not to donate, please know there is no judgement for us. But perhaps, you can offer up a prayer for him. We would
appreciate it.
But I do ask that you read the fundraiser post, to learn a bit about my son and the challenges that boys like him live through in the face of this disease, and learn of his accomplishments over the years to help others, including raising over 20K for animals in need here, on Vancouver Island through a donar-driven charity he began in 2008.
He is the kindest and
most giving person I know. (This picture is a bit older...he now is on oxygen 24/7 but he does not like pictures taken of him with these peripherals showing).
