Working the lower body is often tough for women...not because we're not strong,
but because we often don't see the results there.
In fact, women are 1/3 stronger than men in the lower body, likely due to the fact that we have more going on to support pregnancy and childbirth.
And our center of gravity is lower (for women, it's in the hips. Men, in the chest).
I love traditional deadlifting with a heavy bar, but sometimes my
lower back doesn't love it.
So in those times, I switch to using dumbells, and I SLOW it down.
