Are you currently weighing in every week (or day) to see where your weight is at?
I've
personally battled with this piece of the 'lifestyle industry' for decades, where women put all their worth into how much weight they are carrying.
"If I just lose the weight, I'll feel better'.
Like their whole being is wrapped up in the size of their body.
Well, I could easily help you lose 30, 50 pounds in
3-4 months, with a diet plan that you follow every single day. Low calories, restrictive.
Pretty easy for any coach to make up a follow-along diet plan, where the client becomes the 'child' with the 'adult' telling her what to do and how to manage her life.
UGH!
At first with this kind of restrictive approach, sure,
the weight will drop off radically, then it'll slow down.
Then the consequences will start showing p...
Weakened thyroid function.
Lowered metabolism.
Possibe loss of muscle AND bone (yep).
Hormonal havoc.
Unrelenting hunger.
Blood sugar issues.
Increased cortisol.
Feeling cold, sluggish, cranky...
And then...the compensation mode kicks in...where you start gainign the weight BACK...more easily now, because you are teaching your body to Hoard and Protect.
So 100 calories acts like 300 calories (this is where I hear 'I eat anything and I
gain weight!").
It's not your imagination...it's your body doing EXACTLY what you're telling it to do. Full stop.
See, the body has wisdom. And it has a built in thermometer, a thermostat of sorts that it kicks ON when you go into Diet Mode.
That's why my women don't diet. They learn a Food Strategy that
Works.
And they are building a HEALTHY relationship with food.
"Metabolism first, weight loss second", is our mantra.
Without a proper Food Strategy to COAX the body into releasing the fat (not FORCE), women end up right back at the beginning again...trying once again, to 'get it right' this time, and heading off into Diet Land and
restriction once again.
But it doesn't work.
Just ask Jo, a Mastery Lifestlye Member who joined us in September and has lost 34 pounds, 26 inches and her bodyfat went from 49% to 33%!
No, I won't show 'before and after' pics. We're not that kind of Program, where we ask gals to disrobe and show their glory in their
skivvies (would YOU like to pose for this kind of thing?). In this approach, the focus is on worthiness being tied to weight loss...and it's not true.
And it's a short window in time...we want our clients to LIVE from this place moving forward...and the 10-week window of most before and after pics are just that, the Blink of an Eye. Where is that same woman 1, 2, 5 years down the road? THAT'S what counts!
We want to teach women a solid, adult-oriented approach to weight loss that BUILDS self esteem and self care habits from a very different mindset, one of feeling worthy and confident from the get go.
Because when you feel empowered and in control at the start, when you see your worthiness reflecting back to you in the mirror...well, THAT is the inspiration al fire we need to bring to the
table. THIS creates a very different body transformation journey, indeed.
This approach puts weight loss in its place...not front and center but part of the whole journey we are embarking on...to master our bodies, our mindset, our personal lives....
With Jo's success, you BET she looks AND feels way different! And her emotional state, her sense of Personal Power and

Because we're not a Diet Program. We're a Lifestyle Program for women over 40. Healthy ageing is what we're promoting...living lean, strong, empowered and confident for life...as we move through our ageing years.
