I used to not like meditating...
Not because I didn't believe in it, but because every time I did, my mind would wander to my 'to do' list, or I would land on something sad, and I would rumniate about it..
This isn't what meditation is supposed to do, right? It's supposed to transport you to Nirvana, where everything is bliss, joyful and free, right?
Incorrect.
And that's what I needed to learn...keep it simple, real, grounded, and short, yeah, short...I'm sooo busy! I used to think
you needed a ton of time to meditate...not at all! 10 minutes, BANG, DONE!
It's about meeting yourself Where You are At, and acknowledging it. This gets us out of Resistance and back into Flow..
Becuase you can't drive a car when you're looking behind you. You've gotta be looking straight ahead, and manage the road ahead, all the bumps and cracks and steering around
them.
And once I settled into this new learning, I began to transcend my OCD tendencies, and the fear and sadness that would slip in when all was quiet.
And that was the start of my Higher Learning and feelings of peace, acceptance and simple joy, something that I hadn't felt in years (or maybe never).
Meditation and being STILL needn't be hard. It's quite simple, really, with a few simple guideposts to learn, is all.
Becuase my life is complicated and busy, just liek yours, and I just don't need another complicated process. KISS - Keep it Simple, Sister!
