Here we Go....

 

We've turned the corner..are you ready?
 
What does 2012 mean to you? To me it means a fresh start. It means saying good-bye to one of the toughest years yet, and heralding in a new beginning. Tough times are tough, but I've learned through experience to welcome those times and the learning I will glean from them. When you (finally) learn to transform those challenges into potential, that's where the real living starts.
 
2012 is THE year of opportunity...for those that heed the call. In metaphysics, we see the last cycle of humanity as one of the 'lower' energies as defined by 'stuff": what we do for a living, what we drive, our finances, our work...all necessary stuff, to be sure.
 
But in 2012 it's a kind of elevation out of this worldly focus (ego) and into higher consciousness. We will use the powers of envisioning, intention, and attraction to co-create our world, and to (finally) make the shift out of ground level....but only if you recognize it, and it you're up for the call.
 
In other words, focus in, dare to go into the challenge and see it as an opportunity for real change. Take nothing personally, don't be defined by what you have, rather, focus on what you are - 'be', not 'do'. It's just how humans are meant to evolve, really. It's all in the cards. Has been for centuries.
 
This is the age of reckoning, and for those up for the work, our lives and consciousness will elevate up...for those of us still playing in the lower energies of gossip, greed, victimhood and being defined by how much we can get ahead...well, there you shall stay.
 
For me, my focus is simple: to attract like-minded people, people with integrity, and who want to take their lives, and the lives of others, to a higher level. I want this in the people I will connect with in business, and in my personal life as well. No more Tom Foolery, no more grumbling, no more complaining. No more excuses, no more wishing for something else.
 
We are powerful women, beyond measure, and I hope and trust that each one of you will come to know this, and to want to develop your power wisely, and to use it to help others, and to help move us forward as a society. It always starts with one person.

Training Tip: Size Matters...kind of...
 
 
I was asked to repeat this photo from my Facebook page....it just says so much! Both ladies are a size 2, but one weight trains, and one doesn't. Can you guess?

A picture is worth a thousand words, yes? So don't be afraid of the weights ladies...they truly are your best friend...and you'll love the body you're in!
   
 
 
   
spiritual stuff: Plan first am. Always!
 
 
One of the best times of the day to start creating your day is in the morning....and you don't have to take the lotus position to do it!
 
I don't know about you, but my mornings are full-on! I start my day about 6:00 am and it goes until around 7 pm. Full on, really (it's called building a business). 
 
Here's what I know: if I don't take the time to plan and envision my day before I start into the madness, it goes out the window. So I've learned to do a kind of walking meditation....
 
As I'm running around in the morning, I'm envisioning how I will eat (clean, how many calories?), when and what body part I will train (will I go hard or do a high rep day?), and what I will get accomplished that day (I have a TON of stuff to do every day, so what must be done TODAY?).
 
People are often amazed at what I get done on a daily basis. Me too sometimes, but I prioritize, and stay focused, and it starts first am, as soon as I open my eyes. Plan your food (very important...don't leave this to chance!) and when you'll train (not if). Then plan everything else around this...it's the only way! 
 
 
 
 
They Did It!
 
Committing to a program can be a scary thing, but I've got 30 lovely ladies who all took the plunge....and who are embarking on my on-line Best Shape Challenges.
 
It takes courage to join, and to want to change your body, and you rlife, and I am thankful they believe in me and my program. It's the most comprehensive progam I know of, and it's all hand-done by me, and yes, that's me at the end of every email! I wouldn't trust out-sourcing my work to anyone!
 
Here's  Deanna Pfeifer who started with my Challenge last year, and she fell in love with weight training so much that she decided to compete...now she's eyeing up her second competition! It just goes to show what a determined woman can do!

article: Nice Butt!...

Last week I put up a picture of a butt (below) and as suspected, it got a lot of response (one guy insisted it was his ...sure Jeff!:) 
 
Anyway, one comment was - wow, I wish I could get a butt like that! Well, there's only one way to get a butt like that, and that's squatting.
 
nullI know, I didn't squat for most of my weight training years, because I was scared / skeptical / slightly lazy (?) / bad back / squeeky knees / and it showed....especially as I got older. Not a lot of lift happening there!...
 
I'm proud to say that 25 years later, I've finally perfected the art of squatting. It wasn't easy - I'm anatomically incorrect (high waist, long legs) with a curved back and a wonky right knee! Oh boy!
 
But I wanted to overcome my 'stuff' and learn this most prized of all exercises. I saw the results of women who did squat...no comparison. Heck, I even just used the bar for 6 months until I got it right!
 
I'm happy to say that even at my age (50) you can indeed make changes to your shape, in even those hard to hit areas.
 
I don't think I'll ever have a butt like miss perfect above, but it's better than it was, and perhaps will get better with more squatting! I'll keep you posted!
 
By the way, that's not me squatting (above)...that's what I aspire to be! Her form is perfect! We all need our motivators, even me!
