Was your BREAKFAST AWESOME?
A proper breakfast is NON-NEGOTIABLE. But it's amazing how many women STILL just grab
'n go! Brekkie 'sets your day', so to speak, and I insist all my clients get this nutritional fact down pat!
So let me ask......
- Did you have your 15-20 grams of protein from a high biological source? (That means NOT from grains or soy!)
- Did you have your starchy carbs? At least 20 grams worth!
- Did you mix in
about 10 grams of healthy fat?
In my monthly Warrior Woman Group Coaching Program, we learn that it's better to get on the path of level sugars and proper fat metabolism and protein synthesis AT THE START OF THE DAY, rather than NOT. Because once those cravings start, and the fat-burning shuts off, you're in trouble! And the lessons continue on all week long (this week we look at CARBS! Oh
Yeah! Confused? Most women are..I set it STRAIGHT!).
Macronutrients are sooo important, and knowing how much, and what type, is KEY, especially for the 40+ woman. There's so much info out there, but info is NOT knowledge....diet plans will NEVER get you to where you want to go (in fact, they will cause your metabolism to slow down, and you will gain MORE weight than when you started!), and menu plans
are the same...WRONG! And if someone hands you a menu plan to show you what to eat each day, RUN FOR THE HILLS! They don't know what they're talking about!
In my popular Warrior Woman Group Coaching Program, I give
you
everything you need to get your eating and training on line: monthly e-workouts, nutrition, recipes, videos, interviews, articles, weekly check-in's, Mastermind Discussions, and it's
only $1 a day!
No need for expensive trainers, set training times or cookie-cutter workouts (that really don't work anyway). This group of 40+ women are
redefining waht 40, 50 and 60 looks and feels like!
Testimonials...
Karen’s Warrior Woman Monthly Program is there to meet my needs at any given time. With 2 young kids, sometimes my best goals get put to the wayside to accommodate life's twists and turns. For me, also being a fitness professional, it also helps me stay inspired to train for myself and not just focus on my clients. And it gives me the flexibility to fit in the workouts when and where I can do them. And
more than anything, I really appreciate Karen's emphasis on simple training and nutrition, without the crazy supplements and just going back to basics with portion control and quality food. – Beth Jones, Prenatal Specialist, Personal Trainer, Denver, Colorado
Karen's program has kept me focused through the years I've been with her (about 7 years now). And, the advantage to a monthly paid
program is that it's always paid up, and I know that if I fall off the fitness wagon, it is always in my inbox ready to return to. For me, that gives me a security, rather than losing a personal trainer and having to arrange my schedule for and find a new trainer. But aside from the nuts and bolts, my relationship with food has altered dramatically. I never fell into fad diets, but I didn't understand food before Karen. I may not always be a perfect eater, but I'm informed about what poor
nutrition is doing to my body. Also, Karen's weight program/structure suits my style! – Jessica Wermier, Bronze Level Olympic Rower, Saudi Arabia
For me, this work has been a shift in my thinking that has kept me going with Karen for several years now. I really see this training as a gift to myself. I am continuing to see gains but also realize that what I put in is what I get out of it (as
with anything! I want to keep challenging myself and Karen's program gives me this. I am about balance, so if I am not 100% on track that is ok. I have learned now to keep going, even though I may have slipped, and not give it all up. We are not perfect. Progress not perfection. – Alison West, Sidney, BC
