Can I do it...?

It's been a tough road these last few months in the McCoy household.

See, my son's condition causes a worsening of things over time, and it is now affecting his breathing.  And while we now have him outfitted with a respirator at night (thank goodness for technological advances in medical equipment), it's been hard making yet another transition into a 'new normal'.

The nights are long, and wrought with anxiety. But in my heart of hearts I know that we will survive this new bump in the road. We're used to it, in a way. This is our reality, our path that we must traverse, but at times, we are worn out from the journey.

This morning, I am truly worn out.

And tomorrow night, I am to give a webinar to hundreds of people on how to live a more spiritual life....

In moments like this, I cast doubt on everything I do...how can I teach others about spirit (or fitness, or health) when I feel anything but connected and healthy? At times of crisis like these, all my healthy good intentions go out the window, as I struggle just to try to manage my son's situation. And once again, I am reminded that as we learn, so shall we teach. I am reminded of my purpose, told to me a long time ago by a gifted woman: 'you are here to inspire others, to teach them.'

Inspire others? Really?

At times I don't see it, but still, I press on. And I have learned how to move into acceptance, as I once again draw on my 'tools' to ground me. They have become my comfort, and remind me that I am connected to something bigger, greater, and more mysterious than I can understand.

We all have challenges, and we all need tools to help us get through, and tomorrow night, I'll share some of my tools with you. You may likely have your own, to be sure, but maybe, just maybe, my tools might be of service to you, when you are forced into your own dark night of the soul.

I look forward to sharing these with you tomorrow night.
Blessings,
karen

PS: Participants will receive 3 gifts, to be unveiled at the end of the Webinar. :)
