Ladies, are you stuck in the 80’s mindset?
If you’re still doing cardio to manage your weight, or ‘dabbling in a bit of weights after your cardio,’
then you definitely are still living in the era of disco music, bell bottoms ( I LOVED my bell bottoms) and shag haircuts!
It's a mindset, really, and it's a tough one to shake (especially the diet / cut calories thing). And running for the cardio machine in an effort to manage your weight....oh lordy...so old school.
Cardio won't get you anywhere closer to your goal, IF your goal is re-shaping your body and better weight management (that’s right, cardio makes for far worse weight management). But IF you like to run, then run. It’s all ok. But you can’t have it both ways…but own your stuff, ladies. Make a decision. We’re not getting any younger!
I was a runner for years, and having that heart pumping surge feels great. But it didn't alter my
shape, or create sexy, shapely muscle, and my metabolism remained basic, sluggish, and my body, well, it stayed the same, really.....
