Hello ladies...

Do you remember the hormone scare of 2002? I sure do...


I was working at a health food store in BC, and the Women's Health Initiative had just published their findings about women and hormone replacement therapy, and it wasn't good news.


"Increased risk of breast cancer..." "heart attacks on the rise..." Women everywhere were ditching their hormones and going it alone...again. It was estimated that almost 50% of all users threw their hormones out. 


It's well known today that it was a horribly flawed study, but the fear remains, years afterward. Women remain cautious, skeptical, and fearful for their health. And many women continue to suffer through menopause with no relief in sight. 


Sad, really.


Today, there is still much confusion, and debate, about how to work through peri-menopause, menopause and beyond. What are our options? What models are out there, and what model speaks to YOU?


This month, I interviewed three specialists in managing hormones, three perspectives: the herbal approach, the naturopathic approach, and the most controversial of all - bio identicals. Each has merit, but they are very different approaches, different philosophies, a unique mindset for each one.


Which one is right for you? Only you know for sure. I chose mine years ago, and I'm feeling and performing at optimum levels, post menopause. And I'll be sharing my regime with members, the one I've been following for years, that has allowed me to continue to tighten and tone, change my physique, stay lean, maintain a strong, functioning immune system, and keep all my bodyparts healthy and alive!
