What we do may seem boring at times, lift, rest, lift, repeat, repeat, month after month, year after year...but that is the essence of it all. That is where the
secret lays, where the magic is born, where the results come from.
I liken it to
Michelangelo's statue of David. He would not have gotten his masterpiece done if he carved a bit of shoulder, then moved to the leg, then, when he got bored, he moved to the arms, then the thighs...
No, he stayed constant, in one body area, and worked it with repeated action of his instruments, carving and carving, etching into the stone, like water in a stream. You simply need to etch, etch, etch, if you want to create change in a sculptor, in YOUR sculptor.
So when women say 'it's boring, lifting, repeating', those are the ones that don't see the results, or, they see the results at the start, then they waiver, blame it on age, genetics, etc. But
they're not focusing in. Then they start to jump around from program to program, going wide but never truly going deep. Women will throw a bunch of exercises together because they think they can just choose a bunch of leg exercises and the magic will happen.
I call it the ADD of exercise.
