Do you believe that you can succeed at weight loss, and keep it off?
Do you believe that you can age gracefully and well?
Do you believe that you can eat foods you love, still stay slim and not have to live on a diet forever?
Do you worry that you will fail (again) so you don't really want to try, for fear of disappointing yourself?
Is the extra weight a barrier of protection?
Do you feel uneasy with your sexuality, hence, you are derailing your efforts to create a strong, sexy physique?
Do you hide out more and more because you are not happy with how you look?
Do you believe that you deserve to live in a healthy, strong, capable body, and have a great and easy relationship with food?
If any of this gives you pause, a little 'kick' in the solar plexus (that is our Power centre energetically, after all), if you feel some recognition, then you MUST work on your beliefs, ladies.
Working through all of this, with someone in the know is extremely important in reaching your body goals. Someone who deals with 'cognitive restructuring' and can work from the inside / out (because this is the key to lasting change and success).
You can't change your own beliefs on the spot because they are serving your Identity...that's what they do. And you need to know your sticking points, then have a strategy for throwing out the Mind Trash, and begin fresh, creating a new vision of your body and life, a 'new normal'. But it takes time to build those new thoughts and habits.
And know that the old ways - old habits and beliefs - will pull you back in. And this is when we lose our steam in our workouts, we loosen the reins on our healthy eating, and say to ourselves that 'life just took over'. It didn't. The new identity and new beliefs need to be strengthened with time, consistency, leadership. If not, the old ways just slip back in.
Consider what you believe. In Empowerment Coaching, we teach that the only way out of the dark and into a life of success and results is by first, always telling yourself the truth.
So what truths do you need to tell yourself today?
Whenever you feel stopped or stuck (in action or thought), always tell yourself the truth.
And then the real turn-around can begin...imagine, living in a body that you can be proud of, from this day forward.
Yes, it IS do-able! Many women have learned how, and so too can you!
