Hey
Do you sometimes feel like you're just circling the drain...?
................................................................
You wake up Monday morning, and looking up at the ceiling, you feel the sting of regret...the weekend was a wash...you didn't stick to your healthy eating, and you feel lousy about it (again)...too many treats, off-plan eating...well, it's a new week, and I'll start again today, you think to yourself, but you're not feeling confident that this is the week, out of all the weeks (and months and years) that it'll work...this time....
You're at a party... you've been fussing all day, telling yourself that this time, you're going to stay in control and not overeat, but the party starts, and everyone is enjoying themselves, eating, drinking, and you think, what the heck...why not? But later on, that familiar guilt feeling comes washing over you...'why did I do that again?" you ask yourself.....
You just completed this new 10-week diet...a friend told you about it awhile back and she did really well. It seems to have be working for you too, you lost a good chunk of weight, but now that it's over, things are slipping again, and you just can't get your footing. The scale is moving UP instead of down...oh no, here we go again...!
You're putting your numbers into your food app, trying to make the numbers work, but it seems impossible to 'hit' those supposed targets for protein, carbs and fats. And exactly how many grams should you be eating anyway? What should my calorie count be? Oh, I'm so sick of living off an app, I want food freedom! How do other women do it? you think to yourself...You're feeling frustrated again!
You see that woman in the gym, and she looks awesome. She's about your age...you wonder what she eats and what exercise program she's doing to look like that...if I could just ask her exactly what she's doing, I can look like that too, you think. There has to be that right formula for me too, right?
Circling the drain...returning to zero, feeling defeated and frustrated after so many attempts at this weight loss and body shaping thing is frustrating! And the more you do it, the more it robs you of your self-esteem, your confidence, and not only that, it is softening your metabolism even more! PLUS you're getting older and your hormones have changed...it just feels like everything is working against you!
The truth is, you need a new plan. A strategy that is simple and sustainable, and sets you on a path that you can stay on, and that gives you SUCCESS in losing the weight and re-claiming your health. If you keep doing the same thing over and over again (and choosing a new diet is not new thinking, it's the same pattern!), you're going to keep getting what you get!
See, too many women just return to the same old pattern...another diet, another failed weekend attempt...and it simply cannot work. There is no strategy, no accountability, no fresh offerings...there is NO change in habits or belief patterns, and that is just as important - if not more important - than the food and movement piece.
