She had done exercise in the past, but like many women, she fell off the 'Healthy Living bandwagon' years ago.
She also had food issues, and her tummy would often bloat out and feel very uncomfortable. So she started cutting out certain foods, but to no avail.
Her weakest points with food were 'eating out of boredom and as a reward. My evenings always fall apart,' she admitted. Yes indeed....we all know that one!
So I set Diane up with a 3 days a week exercise routine around the collection of weights she had at home, and we got strategy and structure in her eating, including how many calories, meals, timing and of course that blend of macro nutrients (protein, carbs and fats) that is soooo important to the 40+ woman.
Then we delved into the inner terrain...where she learned that she was 'people pleasing' and deep in 'mother energy' (some of the archetypes that we look at in my coaching), as we came to learn about her beliefs and patterns, and where she 'checked out' on her own desires, and where she needed to grow, in order to create a sustaimable health practice that brought together all aspects of her world - her
body, her food and her mindset.
Right from the get-go, Diane was a committed client. She knew what she wanted - to look and feel strong, to flatten her tummy, and to live with ease and freedom, in both her body and in her daily life - but she didn't know how to get there, or to even 'name' what she was feeling or what was going on. She needed was a solid, easy strategy, and proper coaching, of course.
We also learned that much of her indigestion and bloating was really about her stress that she internalised, and had little to do with her food choices (she was always changing her food to find the triggers, much to no avail). Persoanlly, rather than 'rock the boat', Diane would withdraw from speaking her voice on things that were important to her, and this left her feeling unimportant, and "sitting
on the sidelines of my own life", as she puts it. Re-claiming her voice and creating firm boundaries was where we started, and was an important part of her relcaim.
Today, Diane has gone from 150 pounds to 130 pounds, and she looks and feels great! Her quest is to continue to shape her body into a graceful work of art, and she feels strong, energized and confident again!
She is also living from her Values, which is an exercise that I do to help realign women with their Authentic Self, and crafting a straight line between their beliefs and their goals (which are often out of sync). Now, she has a beautiful Values Roadmap in which to live her life from....so POWERFUL on all accounts!
This is a woman who now knows who she is at the deepest level, has reclaimed her voice, her body and her spirit, she has food freedom, and she is living within her personal values, which allow her to steer her life towards what really matters to her, living with integrity, balance and wholeness.
Diane stays committed to my Mastery Program, and continues to build, grow, learn and wake up! Diane is a beautiful, walking example of an Empowered Woman who really just lost sight of, for many years. BUt she's BAAAACKK!
Where does she go from here? She is staying on with the Work, because she is loving the Journey she is on.
"Am I quitting the program? Heck no....I'm just getting started!" says Diane.
